Preller Making Waves to Close Out 2020

The San Diego Padres are the toast of the baseball world as we get set to enter the new year. General Manager AJ Preller has been the busiest man in the big leagues, completely revamping the Padres rotation for 2021 and beyond by acquiring Blake Snell from the Tampa Bay Rays and Yu Darvish from the Chicago Cubs.

Snell was dominant during the 2020 postseason, including an impression showing against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series, and Darvish is coming off the best season of his career, finishing 2nd in NL Cy Young voting.

Preller also signed KBO infielder Ha-Seong Kim to add depth to an already loaded Padres infield. Kim has been one of the brightest stars in Korean baseball over the last few years, and he is expected to be a major contributor for the Padres moving forward.

2020 has been a rough year so far for so many people in San Diego and all across the globe, but AJ Preller has given Padres fans something to celebrate as we welcome 2021. What a time to be a Padres fan!
