Chargers Roasted on SNF
The Los Angeles Chargers caught a break on Sunday afternoon in Chicago.
The Chicago Bears “pulled a Chargers” and missed a short field goal as time expired to hand Los Angeles a one-point victory in the face of almost certain defeat. This win snapped a losing streak for the preseason darling Chargers (3-5), but the celebration did not last long.
During Sunday night’s Packers-Chiefs showdown on NBC’s Sunday Night Football, Al Michaels delivered a brutal reality check for Los Angeles’ failed franchise. Talking about the Green Bay Packers, Michaels said:
“They’re on the road next week, in a matter of speaking. They’re going to play the Chargers out in Carson, and of course, the crowd will be, in my estimation, about 80% Packer fans next week. So that’s a road game in name only.”
Twitter user Ramheart (@WillramWallace) caught the special moment.

So after a stunning victory on Sunday afternoon, the league’s most embarrassing franchise was back in the news for all the wrong reasons by Sunday night. They made this bed.
